About AiKYNETIX

Lab-grade biomechanics, proven in the field

AiKYNETIX started with a runner's problem and one conviction — lab-grade biomechanics shouldn't stay locked in the lab. Three and a half years on, coaches, clinicians, and teams use it daily: validated against force plates, built by biomechanists, ML engineers, and coaches.

The problem

Seeing is guessingMeasuring is knowing

01
The eye misses asymmetry
Fatigue, compensation, and the millimeters that cause injury hide between frames.
02
Manual video doesn't scale
Scrubbing clips and drawing angles by hand stops working past a handful of athletes.
03
Labs are costly and out of reach
Force plates and marker mocap mean a facility, a half-day, and a budget most teams don't have.
Coaching by eye

“The advance-lunge looks short — can't say what's off.”

A fencing advance lunge, read by eye alone.

What AiKYNETIX measures

Front knee opens to 94°, trunk leans 24° forward, rear arm trails the line.

The same lunge, measured and tracked over time.

How it works
  1. 01

    Film

Film a single clip from the side on the phone already in your hand — no markers to stick on, no wearables, no lab to book.

  2. 02

    AI analyzes

The model reads the whole moving body — pose, joint angles, phase and symmetry — and turns those frames into 300+ validated metrics, with no one scrubbing footage by hand.

  3. 03

    Coach & share

It comes back as a plain-language brief with the athlete's trend across sessions — one report a coach, a clinic, or the athlete can act on, not decode.

Solutions

Beyond metrics — a library of ready-made Solutions

A Solution is a purpose-built assessment for one job: it captures the exact movement, builds a structured report, and scores the result. Pick one, film the clip, get the report — grouped by field, and expanding every release.

How deep it reads

Five layers of movement, not one pose model

Most tools hand you a pose skeleton and stop. AiKYNETIX reads movement at five layers, building up per activity — from who the athlete is to how they execute the skill.

  • L1

    Anthropometry

Who the athlete is — height, weight, proportions, and limb lengths, from a profile or a single photo. The baseline that scales every downstream metric to this body.

    • Height & weight, from a profile
    • Limb-length ratios
    • Body-scale calibration (px → metres)

From a profile or one photo

  • L2

    Physiology

The movement engine — cadence, velocity, ground-contact timing, and power. How the athlete accelerates, sustains effort, and transitions between phases.

    • Cadence — steps/min, swing frequency
    • Ground-contact & flight time
    • Speed, pace, takeoff velocity
    • Impulse & power-phase means

    Running, jumping, agility, cycling

  • L3

    Biomechanics

Movement quality — joint angles, multi-plane phase sequencing, and asymmetry. The deviations from neutral that predict compensation and injury risk.

    • Knee valgus, hip adduction (frontal)
    • Pelvic drop, trunk sway
    • Joint ROM — knee, hip, ankle
    • Countermovement depth, landing symmetry

    Squats, gait, jumps, agility

  • L4Emerging

    Balance

Static and dynamic stability — postural sway, recovery events, and centre-of-mass control on single-leg holds and unstable surfaces.

    • Balance score — sway + recovery
    • Stability — variation during holds
    • Centre-of-mass excursion & sway
    • Single-leg hold duration

    Single-leg / unstable-surface holds

  • L5

    Skill

Sport-specific technique and kinetic-chain sequencing — how the athlete positions, transfers load, and executes the skill.

    • X-factor — shoulder–hip separation
    • Toss & contact height, racket speed
    • Weight transfer %, follow-through
    • Swing path, stance type

Tennis serve today; more sports next

Built to read deeper
  • Green zones tuned to the athlete

A “good” number isn't universal. We compute the target zone for that person — height, weight, and sex — so normal for a 175 cm male isn't judged the same as normal for a 155 cm female.

  • Film from any angle

Side, front, or back — each view unlocks more. The frontal view adds left/right asymmetry, knee valgus, hip adduction, and pelvic drop, with no re-recording.

The science

Validated against force-plate ground truth

Running gait is validated per-trial against dual force-plate ground truth at the University of Houston biomechanics lab — on the kinematic and kinetic variables coaches and clinicians actually use, against a marker-based reference, not a synthetic benchmark. Drop jump and walking gait are in validation with Texas A&M (Yentes lab); diving and mobility with other universities and medical facilities.

From training to recovery

Coaches, clinicians, and sports scientists on what changes when the lab fits in a phone.

  • AiKYNETIX is pushing the limits of computer technology. It has taken on the grand challenge of tracking and modeling full body using a simple, portable camera system. The ability to track full-body dynamics and extract parameters that improve movement in the real world will change how we think about and evaluate sports performance.
Dr. Christopher ArellanoProfessor of Health & Human Performance, University of Houston
  • AiKYNETIX will allow coaches and therapists to collect relevant biomechanical data in field settings. Collecting such data in the past required substantial investment in facilities and equipment. AiKYNETIX will change the paradigm of how athletes train.
Dr. John DeWittDirector of Applied Sports Science, Rice University
  • AiKYNETIX's advanced software lets me easily identify needed changes for runners of all abilities without complex metric calculations. Gait analysis testing has been key to developing runners, keeping them healthy, and ensuring we remain state-podium relevant — a valuable partner in helping athletes perform their absolute best.
Tyler RohrmanHead Cross Country Coach, St. John XXIII College Prep. (Katy, TX)
  • What I appreciate most is how AiKYNETIX brings biomechanics into real training and rehab settings. It helps coaches and clinicians see how athletes actually move and why specific patterns matter, instead of only looking at outcomes — leading to better decisions, lower injury risk, and athletes who move more efficiently and pain-free.
Jared Ozarzak, MSApplied Biomechanist, Point Loma Nazarene University
  • Today, it takes more than 30 minutes to put sensors on and off with our current solution. AiKYNETIX can give us this time back.
